Bright Eyes Fan Page

Bright Eyes is Conor Oberst, there are many wonderful contributors (including a fifteen piece band) and a great production team, but for all intensive purposes, he's the spirit behind the music. Oberst was born in Omaha and began recording his beloved confessional songs at the age of 13. A Collection of Songs was his debut release and included songs written from '95 to '97. It was followed by Letting off the Happiness which was recorded with producers Mike Mogis and Andy Lemaster and made it to number forty-seven on CMJ's chart, soonafter his EP Every Day and Every Night was released and this EP helped Oberst make a significant mark in the musical world. more

Modest Mouse Fan Page

Modest Mouse was formed in a practice space adjacent to Isaac Brock's mother's trailer in Issaquah, WA in 1992 by singer, songwriter, and guitarist Isaac Brock, bassist Eric Judy, and drummer Jeremiah Green. The band released their first full-length on the Up label with This Is a Long Drive for Someone With Nothing to Think About and Interstate 8 in 1996 and in '97 switched to Johnson's K with The Fruit That Ate Itself. In 1998 they released The Lonesome Crowded West on the Up label which brought them into the spotlight and in the same year they signed with Sony. The rarities album, Building Nothing Out of Something was released in early 2000 on the Up label and later that year they followed up with their Epic release, The Moon & Antarctica. In 2001 Modest Mouse released the EP Everywhere and His Nasty Parlour Tricks on the Sony label. more

Ugly Casanova Fan Page

The first time any one seemed to care that Edgar Graham existed was in the summer of 1998, when he impressed himself upon the members of Modest Mouse while backstage at a Denver show. Streaming with blood from the window he had recently broken his way through, Graham stormed up to the band and then jabbing his thumb at the emptiness behind his left shoulder as if to indicate someone else, or the lack thereof, he introduced himself as Ugly Casanova. He displayed a gentle, if not slightly unnerving, mental instability that endeared them to him and caused them to adopt him in a way only possible of a band with a long tour ahead of them. more
