Punk-rock-ruckus tear-the-house-down rock-and-roll mayhem. The Baseball Furies do all this, and I think they even do more, I just can’t come up with a word to describe it. These kids just put out a new album and called it Greater then Ever, and guess what. I agree. It’s tons of fun.

This one’s out on Big Neck Records and you can pretty much just go to the website to get it. I really don’t know who to compare these guys to, but it’s definitely good rock'n'roll and it’s definitely got that snotty “punk” attitude, which I think more bands need, especially if they’re gonna call their band a “punk” band, anyways these guys rip through each song like it’s the last, and honestly, they play their live shows like this too, like, fury is a good word to have in the name of this band. I love the guitar work these guys do, it's real melodic but so so rockin’ at the same time. I hate to use the word raw, as it is muchly overused, but this shit is way raw. Good and sloppy yet under the smallest amount of control so as to be in time. And the production is great too. None. That’s the way rock'n'roll should be. The songs I’ve been digging on most seem to be "Arch Enemy"; I just love that little guitar fill there at the beginning, "Disposable Hustler" does it for me, "Rant and Rave" is a good time ripper, "I Hate Your Secret Club" is tons of fun, "Isolated Fits" is a pissed rocker…hell I like ‘em all. It’s seriously a great album, and if you want a great introduction to some of the good rock'n'roll going on right now, go check these guys out. Totally worth your time.
