Dressy Bessy
S/T
Kindercore

This Denver indie-pop band consisting of Tammy Ealom on vocals, her boyfriend John Hill from Apples In Stereo playing guitar, Rob Greene on bass, and Darren Albert (drums), headed for New York to record their 3rd, self-titled album, and produced what may be their biggest break yet.

Track listing:

01 Just Once More
02 The Things That You Say That You Do
03 Baby Six String
04 This May Hurt (A Little)
05 Georgie Blue
06 Girl, You Shout!
07 Hey May
08 New Song (From Me to You)
09 Better Luck
10 Blink Twice
11 Tidy

Dressy Bessy threw a little rock & roll into their recipe for candy-coated sugar pop this year. Each of these eleven songs is an upbeat lick toward the center of Last-Splash-Breeder-esque pop, from the first song to the last.

The lyrics range from the light sing-a-long lyrics prevalent throughout to more contemplative like those from "Hey May," "what are you going to do when the world turns in on you? Hey check it out, think of me once in a while," to more serious like those found in "This May Hurt (A Little)" about "a dear friend," "I don’t miss much of Josey much of the time, though I know she’s feeling helpless most of the time." But you won't hear any pouting or whining from this Indie band, all songs are delivered with a hip smile.

This album is more mature, more catchy, and more edgy than their previous two. It is full of great hooks and tunes, and just pure pop that should liven any mood and shouldn't be missed.
