Cuomo's follow up to the long awaited green album shows he's coming back in full force and with an honesty in his singing that harkens back to the days of "Pinkerton." The cd starts with a song about Cuomo's ever-evident isolation, he sings, "if you want me you can't have me please accept me back off baby I'm a loner," and he goes on to sing about how there's something inherently wrong with him because he ends up not wanting something when it's in reach with the line, "and I've seen this game before my love walks right to your door there ain't no hope for me anymore." This one is filled with great lyrics, also reminiscent of "Pinkerton," like "you'll never be a better kind if you don't leave the world behind."

As for the music, it's the same catchy pop you'll hear on any of their albums, but a little more rockin'. It's a little
catchier than the green album and a little less thematic than "Pinkerton." If you
like Weezer at all I would highly recommend it for "Keep Fishin'" and "Burdt Jamb" alone,
and if you're a fan, you'll probably enjoy the whole thing. Another bonus is the extesive
video clips of "The Quiet Room," "Dope Nose" live, "Death and Destruction" live, "Burndt Jamb" live, "The Cobo Challenge," "Keep Fishin'" live, and "Take Control" live that are added to the
disc. And I would also head over to their official website to check out another great
video that rivals their "Island in the Sun" video - "Keep Fishin'." All I can say is that their as characteristically catchy as their other songs, and you may be humming these tunes all day after a listen.
